Programme Review, Recovery & Delivery
Programmes can run behind schedule, over budget, or entirely fail to the deliver the expected outcomes. We use a forensic approach to uncover the issues.
WE OWN PROBLEMS. WE SOLVE PROBLEMS
KEY DANGER SIGNALS
- The programme seems green. Activity doesn’t align with expected progress. Real results are hard to find.
- Progress reports lack true clarity with items continually deferred.
- Expenditure is unpredictable, schedules keep changing, with the critical path delaying other work.
- Risks and issues are a surprise and not effectively addressed.
- Key project staff avoid the serious discussions around progress.
- Things intrinsically don’t feel right.
HOW WE SET THINGS STRAIGHT
We focus on four key steps to solve the issues:
- Review: We meticulously review programme plans, reports, artefacts and intended outcomes.
- Identify options: Following the review and conversations with key stakeholders, we prepare response options to recover the project based on four categories: Restart, Recover, Re-Scope or Retire.
- Planning: Once a response is determined we develop a comprehensive approach to transition to the plan, implement the recommendations and work to safely move the programme to a stable state.
- Finish: We complete the work, either in close down or once outcomes are achieved. We leave it in the hands of our clients and offer governance support if requested.
